We are all impacted at some point during our lives by health护理 professionals, often during our most difficult circumstances. 的 knowledge, training, and clinical skill of these health护理 professionals is essential to our health and well-being. 也 of great importance is the way in which the health护理 professionals interact on a human-level with us and our families. Within BRCHS, learners are able to interact with the SP/EAs in a safe positive environment, practicing both clinical and inter-personal 技能. 的 outcome is a clinician who is competent to provide quality health 护理 in a compassionate, relatable manner.

标准化病人/Embedded Actor Program

的 Jacksonville University Brooks Rehabilitation College of 健康护理 Sciences 标准化 Patient (SP)/Embedded Actor (EA) Program enhances the evidence-based experiential clinical 技能 training in 健康护理 Sciences and University-wide interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate programs.  的 SP/EA Program reinforces Jacksonville University’s commitment to preparing students to become health护理 professionals who provide outstanding, compassionate 护理 to a diverse population of individuals.

的 SP/EA Program provides health护理 students the opportunity to interact with specially trained actors who portray patients in simulation scenarios focused upon communication 技能, history taking, physical assessment, illness management, preventative 护理, patient education, prioritization of 护理 and critical thinking. 标准化病人 (SPs)/嵌入式的演员 (EAs) provide a real world dimension to the health护理 students’ 临床训练. Student awareness is heightened when SPs/EAs are interwoven into simulation scenarios that represent real life situations. Realism directly strengthens patient-护理giver interpersonal communication 技能 and promotes the incorporation of culturally focused interactions which result in the provision of quality patient-centered 护理.

SPs/EAs are trained to provide consistency within the simulation experience using pre-set parameters that facilitate the students learning of course objectives. 此外, verbal and written feedback from the SPs/EAs encourages the student to self-examine and independently problem solve to enhance and refine their clinical 技能.  的 use of SPs/EAs is a proven method to assist students to build hands-on clinical and communication 技能 in their practice.
